I have been teaching rugby to children for 10 years now, and I experience joy and fulfillment in guiding the growth of so many kids everyday. One important lesson I have learned and continue to cherish is that "the potential for children's growth is immeasurable."
During my time as a junior high school teacher, I had two students in the class who were members of the non-club activity. One was a rebellious student who disliked studying, lacked motivation, and was generally considered a bad kid. The other was a boisterous, whiny student who tended to avoid challenges. I visited the rebellious student's home every day, brought him to school, persistently invited both of them to join rugby during lunchtime (for over six months), and eventually witnessed the blossoming of their rugby talents. I invited ten more of their peers, formed a rugby team, and within ten months, we won the prefectural tournament. The rebellious student excelled in tackling opponents, while the boisterous one skillfully dodged defenders, scoring numerous tries.

Watching their transformations made me realize that the futures of children are not certain. It depends greatly on the guidance provided by coaches, shaping their paths for better or worse.I aim to provide the same positive guidance to children in Malaysia as well, steering them in the right direction

Back when I was in elementary school, I mainly learned the basics at my father's rugby school, "Owl". Even now, I'm grateful for what I learned during those early years as without it, I wouldn't have been able to contribute to our three consecutive victories at the HANAZONO National High School Rugby Tournament, let alone become a professional at HONDA HEAT or to represent Japan. In the world of rugby, mastering the basics is essential; skills alone won't be enough to compete. I look forward to playing rugby with you someday at Fujita Rugby Academy, where you can learn everything you need to excel.

I spent a year at Fujita Rugby Academy during my third year of junior high. What I learned at Fujita Rugby Academy was not just "rugby skills" but also "the mindset". Qualities like "manners" and "gratitude," which are fundamental human traits, were instilled in us. Rugby skills were taught with a focus on the importance of fundamentals, so even though I couldn't do basic things like passing or running straight when I started, I feel that I made great progress within that year.
The staff at the Fujita Rugby Academy, including the principal, are warm-hearted and welcoming individuals.
Join Fujita Rugby Academy and let’s enjoy rugby together!

By practicing with students from different grade levels, my child receives various stimuli and enjoys lively and fun training sessions.
- The greatest benefit is the boost in self-confidence, the careful guidance on the basics, the touch rugby sessions with students from various grades, and the enthusiasm my child has of attending practice every week.

PRINCIPAL

Hisakazu Fujita
Over my 30-year journey of coaching youth rugby (from first grade to middle school), the most vital lesson I have learned is the importance of "fundamentals." Initially, I focused on strategies (such as set plays) and techniques, but it became evident that without mastering the fundamental plays (like passing), mastering advanced techniques or set plays would be impossible. When aiming for victory, one cannot succeed without a solid foundation in fundamental thinking, basic skills, and physical fitness. This encompasses the mind, skill, and body.
We consistently incorporate the latest insights from the ever-evolving world of Japanese and global rugby. We strive to make rugby understandable for children by simplifying these concepts. Our aim is to empower these children to bring change to the Japanese rugby world .
In our mission for children to genuinely embrace rugby, we believe in accumulating small successes and experiences, connecting them to their self- confidence, and developing their character and competency through rugby. Our goal is to prepare them for self-sufficiency in society. With deep passion and commitment, I aspire to guide these children towards their dreams, just as I would for my own.
